The Nahuel Huapi National Park offers unique natural attractions that allow a combination of trekking and lake navigation with the Paso de las Nubes Traverse connecting Pampa Linda with the Frias Lake and Puerto Blest.

The “Paso de las Nubes” or “Clouds pass” refers to due to its geographic location the clouds that creep over from Chile along the Frias valley and over the ridge.

Leaving from Pampa Linda this first overnight is at the Agostino Rocca Hut, and the following day continue on to Puerto Blest.

This trail can also be done in the opposite direction, from North to South.

In the National Park due to regulation to control forest fires you are only allowed to camp in Pampa Linda or next to the Agostino Rocca Hut. Camping along the trail or at Puerto Frias and Puerto Blest are not allowed.

When planning your trip and confirming dates we suggest you book your transport to Pampa Linda. The boat ride back from Puerto Frias to Bariloche (Catamarán – Turisur Company), can be reserved before heading out or up at the Agostino Rocca Hut.
